March 11th, 2010 Phil Guye Posted in Entertainment No Comments »

So, You have decided that because of the advantages of using fabric for your green screen studios, you will set out on a journey to find just the right fabric that fits the area you have prepared for your studio and as well as your position allotted for the green screen itself. There are a lot of fabric stores around and if you have the time, you can try going through every single one of them.

However, if you’re pushed for time and you do not have the luxury to go to every fabric shop there is, you should consider simply going to the biggest shop there is, because the larger the shop is, the higher the possibilities that you will find what you are searching for in it. When you have chosen the shop to go to, here are the guidelines that you have to remember when selecting a fabric:

1. The material should be opaque although it is inevitable for fabric to be just a little bit reflective, be a bit picky this one time and rummage through their collection for something that doesn’t reflect light. What’s the reason behind this preference? Just imagine that when you use green screen studio, it’ll be the same with using a normal background. In truth, it will be a lot more sensitive than the normal backdrop or the ordinary studio. So if you tip the light in the area, a reflective green screen will create lighter hotspots

A Brief History of Green Screen Hollywood

March 10th, 2010 Phillip Guye Posted in Entertainment No Comments »

Green screen Hollywood technology, AKA chroma key is a technique used by filmmakers to mix two separate photographs together. This works by making the background ( a solid color which is usually green or blue ) transparent in order to show another image which is the particular background that’ll be shown on film. This method of filming is often referred to as color keying, blue screen, and color separation overlay ( CSO ). It was basically used for weather reports. Forecasters were shot in front of chroma key screens and the background got replaced by tangible maps that indicate weather forecasts . The chroma key technique is also employed by filmmakers and photographers alike.

The green screen first made its appearance in the 1930’s at RKO Radio pictures. The backdrop used back then was blue. This technique of film making was developed in order to create computer effects for the film “The burglar of Bagdad.” except for the chroma key methodology, filmmakers relied on an especially boring and time intensive process called “travelling matte.” This made transition like “wipes” practical.

The 5 TV Series You Cannot Turn Away From

February 27th, 2010 Tom Gonzalez Posted in Entertainment No Comments »

There are plenty of TV series out there that will keep you in front of the set, putting in dvd boxset after dvd boxset until you’ve finished the entire thing. The idea of the cliffhanger, the serial, the super-addictive show that forces you to keep watching is back. Here are five examples.

#5 Gossip Girl

It’s like Melrose Place or the O.C., just a bunch of rich kinda crazy people doing awful things to each other. But there’s no question that these spoiled private-school manhattanites make for a compelling viewing experience that keeps people watching.

#4 True Blood

Sure, this TV series is about trendy vampires, but takes it all in a completely different direction from Twilight and its ilk. Once you start following the whole Sookie Stackhouse story closely, you’ll realize you’ve been completely hooked, and the only way to wean yourself is by finishing all the seasons.

#3 Jersey Shore

Reality TV at its absolute finest, Jersey Shore places a series of insanely exaggerated extroverts into a New Jersey beach house for the summer and watches the ridiculous, overblown, hilarious fireworks. People are continuously fighting, creeping, macking, and all the rest, and when you watch it all with the dvd boxsets, you’ll have had your “guido” fill for many a year.

From the last 5 years as a professional digital photographer, I’ve had the great fortune to shoot at Hollywood Green Screen (or Green Screen, Hollywood as it is more commonly known) a good number of times. The amount of professionalism and reliability exhibited by the personnel I worked with needs to be appreciated. This has encouraged me to publish this for individuals like me who are thinking about knowing more about professionals who’re in the business of offering green screens, backdrops, illumination fixtures as well as other types of products that is needed to make a shot come out really well.

If you’re scanning this article, I’m assuming you’re also in the film making business or in the photography business. Chances are that you take part in creating different types of videos too. For example, if you’re involved in either music or commercial videos, you could approach Hollywood Green Screen pertaining to the employment of the production apparatus these kinds of studios have. You can also use the actual studio if you need to do some part of a documentary or to try out your casting and video auditions.

Find out how your favorite players reached their goals. Often times this is hard to do since you can’t always sit down and talk to some very famous musicians. But interviews exist as well as a few biographies on some musicians (especially dead ones).

Despite the fact that many successful don’t really talk much about this, you can find some that do. Believe me, becoming successful is a lot more than just practicing and luck! REMEMBER that their strategies won’t necessarily work for you because your goals may be different than theirs were. Still you can learn from it.

Remember that its ok to daydream and fantasize about where you are planning to go, but it can’t stop there. Don’t wish without planning! Don’t dream without doing! And always, always, have a strategy.

Create a strategy! You need a strategy that will layout exactly how you are going to reach your goals. Dreaming alone won’t take you anywhere. Telling yourself that you are going to play your guitar everyday isn’t enough. There is a lot more that goes into being an excellent player than simply playing your guitar.

February 24th, 2010 Kyle Chatman Posted in Entertainment No Comments »

Playing the guitar is one popular pastime nowadays. For some people, it is also a way of expressing themselves and elevates the hobby into an art form or sometimes, science. Playing the guitar, however, is no joke. It requires a lot of patience and practice. For some people, they would rather study playing the bass guitar than the regular guitar. Here are some tips on learning to play the bass guitar.

Take a regular guitar (which is tuned from the thickest to the lowest string- E – A – D – G – B – E) and exclude the two thinnest strings at the bottom and what is left is basically a bass guitar with thinner strings. Bass playing is usually note-oriented and not chord-oriented. This means that single notes are hit more often in bass playing and this scheme is the essential element of bass playing, one should be familiar with the tunings and the notes in a regular guitar to be able to decently play the bass guitar.
